Are you a veteran? These North Texas spots have free deals for you on Veterans Day

Veterans Day is a time to honor service men and women who have served or are still in active service in any of the military branches.

This Friday, Dallas-Fort Worth restaurants and regional transportation units are tipping their collective hats to veterans with many free promotions.

Trinity Metro Free Rides

Trinity Metro is offering free rides to veterans on train and bus services Friday.

Veterans need only to show the driver or train conductor proof of service do for free rides on Trinity Metro buses, TEXRail, ZIPZONE or ACCESS. That’s it, show some form of military I.D. and you get a free ride.

For questions on the free rides promotion, veterans can call Trinity Metro customer care at 817-215-8600.

B&B Butchers & Restaurant Complimentary Lunch

B&B Butches & Restaurant at The Shops at Clearfork is offering veterans a complimentary lunch on Friday.

The 3-course special menu is still under wraps, but all veterans need to do is show military I.D. to be served the free lunch. This offer is only available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the restaurant on 5212 Marathon Ave.

Reservations are recommended for the Friday lunch and can be made online or by calling 817-737-5212.

Free Veterans Lunch at Bubba’s 33

Bubba’s 33, a burger and pizza restaurant, is continuing an annual Veterans Day tradition — offering vets a free lunch on Friday at their Mesquite and The Colony restaurant locations.

All veterans and active military service members are welcome to a free meal of one of six entrees: Classic cheeseburger, Bubba’s bacon burger, bacon chicken mac-n-cheese, grilled chicken salad, chicken tender salad or any 12-inch pizza plus a drink. Make sure to show your military or veteran affairs card.

The Bubba’s 33 free lunch promotion is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the Mesquite location, 19089 Lyndon B Johnson Freeway, and at The Colony, 4025 State Highway 121.
