Murrieta Veterans Day parade honors U.S. Armed Forces members
Press-Enterprise - 11/11/2022
Residents of Murrieta and surrounding communities gathered Friday morning, Nov. 11, in the city’s downtown to honor veterans with the annual Veterans Day parade.
Local elected officials, including 3rd District Supervisor Chuck Washington, members of local American Legion posts, scout troops and school marching bands, spirit clubs and Jr. ROTC groups, were among those taking part in the 20th annual event.
The rev of classic car engines and sirens of public safety agencies’ vehicles drew cheers along the parade route as it made its way through downtown streets.
Hundreds came out to show support of those who have served in the armed forces.
The parade wrapped up late morning at the Field of Honor memorial in Murrieta’s Town Square Park, a display of flags that can be viewed through Sunday, Nov. 13.
